We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Manager, to join our team at Anderson Food Mart , a busy convenience store and gas station. As an Assistant Manager, you will help oversee daily operations, provide excellent customer service, and ensure a smooth and efficient store environment. You will work closely with the store manager to drive sales, maintain inventory, and support staff to ensure all aspects of the business run effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily operations of the store and gas station.
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff to provide high-quality customer service.
• Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards are met.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage inventory, place orders, and track stock levels to ensure adequate supply.
• Oversee cash handling, register operations, and conduct end-of-day reports.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and company policies.
• Support the store manager in achieving sales goals and profitability targets.
• Assist with scheduling shifts and ensuring adequate staff coverage.
• Monitor fuel levels and maintain compliance with regulations for the gas station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of retail or convenience store management experience, preferably in a gas station or fast-food environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash, operate POS systems, and manage financial transactions.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in retail and gas station operations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in varying temperatures.
• Valid driver's license. Valid ABLE license (OK Beer License required to sell beer/alcohol)
