Overview This position can sit in Grand Rapids, MI or Bentonville, AR The Associate Manager - eCommerce – Walmart is responsible for driving growth and expanding the company's presence on Walmart.com as well as expanded markets. This role involves executing sales strategies for eCommerce channels, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting all distribution channels. The role will also assist in developing digital marketing and merchandising strategies for Walmart websites to increase POS and market share, while analyzing ROI for all spending related to Walmart Connect. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership : Assist in the development and implementation of the unified sales strategy for Walmart.com that aligns with company goals, market trends, and growth opportunities. Track measurable KPIs such as revenue growth, conversion rates, and customer acquisition targets. Execute long-term objectives and strategies for all Walmart.com channels by ensuring quarterly performance reviews and adjustments based on sales and traffic analytics. Account Management and Relationship Building : Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders at Walmart.com, and their respective teams, Category Managers, Associate Buyers, and eCommerce leads, with a focus on increasing promotional participation and improving sell-through rates. Support and prepare the team for negotiations to secure favorable terms, promotions, and product placement, tracking success through improved margin performance and promotional ROI. Address and resolve issues related to product listings, fulfillment, pricing, and customer satisfaction across both platforms, with resolution timelines and customer satisfaction scores utilized as performance indicators. Sales Strategy and Performance : Consult on the Development to then Execute targeted sales strategies to increase visibility and drive growth on Walmart.com, with performance tracked via weekly POS reports and traffic-to-conversion ratios. Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor landscapes to identify new opportunities and refine strategies for maximum performance, reporting actionable insights and performance impact monthly. Monitor performance metrics to ensure alignment with financial targets and business objectives, including revenue growth, profit margins, and category share gains. Product Listing and Optimization : Oversee product listings and optimization efforts on Walmart.com to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and effectiveness, with performance measured by search ranking, click-through rates, and conversion improvements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely updates to product information, pricing, and inventory across both platforms, with SLAs and update accuracy tracked monthly. Market Insights and Innovation : Stay informed on industry trends, consumer behavior, and platform requirements, making data-driven adjustments to strategies. Implement new tools, technologies, and strategies to optimize sales performance and operational efficiency across both channels, evaluating success through improved operational KPIs and sales lift. Walmart Connect Media Group Collaboration : Partner with Walmart Connect to leverage advertising solutions for brand visibility and sales on Walmart.com, tracking campaign performance via ROAS, impressions, and conversion metrics. Collaborate with media agency on campaigns using Walmart Connect’s products (Sponsored Products, Display Ads, Search Ads) to drive sales, report out on campaign effectiveness and budget utilization. Monitor media campaigns to ensure maximum ROI and alignment with sales strategies and adjust tactics based on real-time performance data. Reporting and Communication : Track key performance metrics and growth opportunities for Walmart.com, with weekly dashboards and monthly business reviews to assess progress against goals. Maintain effective communication with Walmart.com, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of strategies and resolution of any issues. Qualifications Specific concentration : Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Experience level : 6 years of combined progressive sales experience with a minimum of 3 years driving digital sales at a large retail account. Preferred Qualifications : .com or Amazon retail account experience preferred. Proven success in managing complex accounts and driving revenue growth in both eCommerce and retail environments. Extensive experience with Walmart’s Vendor Portal and Scintilla. Proven track record in executing successful digital marketing strategies.
