Job Description
Cooney, Scully and Dowling, a prominent mid-sized Hartford law firm, is seeking a billing specialist to fill a diverse position with opportunity for growth for the right candidate. The individual selected will be responsible for billing, including electronic billing, and maintaining proper documentation, follow-up on bills and other bookkeeping responsibilities. The individual will also assist in computer training for staff and attorneys, be involved in computer-based litigation support, and general clerical duties. The individual will also be involved in assisting and developing financial reports.
Applicants must have proficient technology skills, experience with MS Office Suite, QuickBooks, and a familiarity with Prolaw is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills, and attention to detail is a must. Experience in legal billing, including electronic billing and/or bookkeeping is strongly preferred.
This is a full-time, in-house position. Benefits package includes medical insurance, vacation and 401(k) plan. Salary is commensurate with experience, ability and background.
