The technician will collaborate closely with insurance adjusters, customers, and team members to deliver timely and satisfactory service. Ultimately, the role ensures customer satisfaction by returning vehicles to a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing state.

  • Experience working with computerized estimating systems and collision repair software.
  • Familiarity with various vehicle makes and models, including newer technologies and materials.
  • Strong welding and paint-matching skills.
  • Previous experience in a retail trade environment or customer-facing role.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed.
  • Remove damaged parts and replace or repair body panels, frames, and other components.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to straighten frames, weld, and refinish surfaces.
  • Collaborate with insurance representatives to provide accurate repair estimates and updates.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Document repair processes and parts used to ensure transparency and quality control.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to manage expectations and timelines.

Skills:

The required skills in body shop repair are applied daily to assess vehicle damage accurately and execute repairs that restore structural integrity and appearance. Proficiency with body shop tools and techniques ensures efficient and high-quality workmanship. Preferred skills such as certification and experience with estimating software enhance the technician’s ability to provide precise repair plans and cost assessments.
