Job Description

Job Title: Cross Country - Assistant Coach (Mascoutah Middle School) Reports To: Head Coach, Athletic Director, & Building Principal Work Days: 2025-2026 Season Stipend: Schedule 8 stipend schedule on teacher contract. Range: $1871-$2807. Placement on schedule based on experience.

JOB GOAL:

To assist the head coach with instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. The assistant coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport. Has substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field. Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.
