Your expertise will directly impact the success of complex data center projects by overseeing the installation of critical network systems. You’ll ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, all while building a cohesive and high-performing team. What You’ll Do: As a Data Center Cabling Specialist, you’ll: Coordinate Installations : Plan, coordinate, and execute cabling projects, including installation, termination, and testing of network and communication cables in accordance with industry standards. Collaborate with Stakeholders : Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop cabling plans and strategies that meet the organization’s infrastructure needs. Ensure Safety & Quality : Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines during cabling installations and maintenance activities. Problem-Solve & Troubleshoot : Troubleshoot and diagnose complex cabling issues, utilizing specialized tools and equipment. Maintain Project Documentation : Keep accurate records of installations, test results, and project progress reports. Manage Resources : Monitor and manage inventory of cabling materials, tools, and equipment. Act as the On-Site Contact : Serve as the main point of contact for customers on-site. What you'll bring: You bring expertise, leadership, and a passion for innovation. You are an experienced professional with: Education & Experience : High school diploma or equivalent, with advanced certifications in cabling systems (BICSI Technician, etc.) highly desirable. Technical Expertise : Understanding of cabling standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801) and extensive experience with fiber optics, copper, and coaxial cable systems. Problem-Solving Ability : A knack for diagnosing issues and implementing effective, innovative solutions. Team Collaboration : Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Safety Awareness : A solid understanding of safety protocols. Experience : 3-5 years in network cabling, with hands-on experience with tools like fusion splicers, cable testers, and termination kits. Physical Requirements : Maneuvering on uneven ground and climb ladders. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35lbs. Must be able to work on feet for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to travel up to 50-75% of the time. Salary Range $72,000 - $83,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
