Director of Business Development and Capture Management

Abacus Technology Corporation, a recognized small business in the Federal government sector, provides IT services and solutions with over 40 years of experience. Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with teams to identify and acquire new business opportunities.
• Target specific agencies for growth based on past performance and contracts.
• Develop strategies and plans to close opportunities.
• Establish contacts with potential clients, develop briefings, attend conferences, and foster teaming arrangements.
• Prioritize and lead capture strategies.
• Assist in developing marketing materials, proposal strategies, and proposals.

Qualifications

Candidates should have 15+ years of experience in business development, capture, and marketing within the U.S. Federal government contracting sector, with a proven leadership record. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Familiarity with major Federal procurement strategies (T&M, FFP, performance-based) and contract vehicles (GWACs/IDIQs) is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities, establish relationships, analyze solicitations, and assess their value and resource requirements. Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are necessary. Willingness to travel and US citizenship are required.

The projected salary range is $150,000-$175,000, influenced by experience, skills, education, and other factors. Benefits include health and dental insurance, 401(k) with matching, life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off and holidays, and professional development support.
