Editorial Assistant and Outreach Specialist Kapwing, a leading online content creation platform, is seeking a highly organized Editorial Assistant to help create, update, and develop content across its library. This role covers four pillars of content — resources blogs, landing pages, templates, and social media — with a strong focus on SEO. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or junior editor with experience in marketing, journalism, or a related field, and has a passion for video editing, social media, and writing. This full-time, hybrid role reports to the Head of Content at Kapwing. Responsibilities Story finding: Generating daily and monthly content ideas by monitoring social media trends, app updates, and developments in AI and video editing. SEO duties: Enhancing the SEO of landing pages and resource blogs through cross-interlinking, image updates, graphics, alt text, and keyword adjustments under the guidance of the Head of Content. Writing: Updating resource blogs, pitching and writing new blogs monthly, and creating SEO-optimized tag page intros, meta descriptions, etc. Quality checks: Assisting with fact-checking and proofreading content across resources, tools pages, and templates. Design: Creating memes and templates for Kapwing’s Explore section. Outreach: Conducting outreach to news outlets and bloggers to promote new tools, templates, and resources. AI+Editing: Utilizing LLMs like ChatGPT to generate content efficiently for tags, meta descriptions, and templates.
