Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Journeyman Electrician to join our equipment manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for wiring, assembling, and testing custom industrial machinery and control systems built in our facility. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, takes pride in craftsmanship, and ensures all wiring meets electrical codes, quality standards, and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Wire, assemble, and install electrical components for custom-built manufacturing equipment and control panels.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to complete system installations accurately.
• Route and terminate wiring for motors, sensors, control panels, and instrumentation according to design specifications.
• Verify proper operation of electrical systems through testing and inspection.
• Collaborate with engineers and mechanical assemblers to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Identify and resolve wiring or component issues during the build process.
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and NEC electrical codes.
• Assist in the design and layout of wiring harnesses and control panels for new equipment.
• Document wiring changes, redlines, and test results for engineering review.
• Support installation and start-up of equipment at customer sites (occasional travel may be required).

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-certified).
• 3+ years of experience in industrial equipment wiring, panel building, or machinery assembly preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, controls, and industrial wiring standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience with conduit bending, cable routing, and termination of various wire gauges and connectors.
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, VFDs, and motor controls is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and work on equipment for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work with hand and power tools safely.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing shop environment.
