Do you love working with kids in a diverse, small class setup and a supportive management ? Join our team at AlRazi Academy. We are hiring teachers who are fun and creative to teach basic subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) for grade/s (KG-6th)
*Position Type:*
*We are expanding and looking for more full Time Teachers for the following grades: *
*1. KG, 2nd, 3rd grades *
*2. 4th, 5th , 6th grades*
Location: 1119 5th Street , West Des Moines IA 50265
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Meet Early Childhood or Elementary education certification requirements of the Department of Education, State of Iowa or _*Such alternatives to the qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.*_
You have education / teaching degree or Math/ English/ reading degree and Still working on your license? That's Ok you can still apply, we might have a position for you.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Reading and or math endorsement preferred but not required
2. Teaching experience in any of the primary or secondary grades preferred but not required ( K-5)
3. Evidence of contributions to a professional learning community and team.
4. Evidence of effective teaching as demonstrated in student data.
5. Ability to understand and use data to inform instructional decisions for student success.
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: To help students achieve skills that will contribute to their development as productive and responsible citizens.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance.
2. Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the teaching position.
3. Demonstrates competence in planning and preparing for instruction.
4. Uses strategies to deliver instruction that meets the multiple learning needs of students.
5. Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning.
6. Demonstrates competence in classroom management.
7. Engages in professional growth.
8. Fulfills professional responsibilities established by the school administration.
9. Performs other duties as may from time to time be assigned by Principal
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing-pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.
*EVALUATION:*EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the principal according to the guidelines of the master contract.
