Position: Entry Level Communications Assistant

Location: Rochester, NY  

Schedule: Weekends Off

Salary: $650 - $870 per week

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Communications Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their careers in communications, marketing, or public relations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging with diverse audiences, crafting compelling messages, and supporting various communication initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with senior communications staff to develop content for press releases, newsletters, social media platforms, and other marketing materials.  

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation of various communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.
• Support the planning and execution of communication campaigns and community outreach events.
• Manage social media accounts, including scheduling posts and engaging with followers.
• Conduct research to support communication strategies and content development.
• Help maintain the organization’s website and ensure content is up-to-date and relevant.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving communication efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
