Job Description
The Equipment & Repair Technician is responsible for prepping, repairing, diagnosing faults, servicing, and re-dressing EV’s camera systems, multi-finger calipers and related field equipment. This role is primarily based in Red Deer but may require travel to other company sites and client field locations, sometimes in remote or challenging environments. The technician ensures all equipment is maintained according to preventative maintenance programs, performs repairs following company procedures, and manages asset tracking through the Asset Management System (AMS). Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate service records, participating in root cause analysis of equipment failures, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. The position involves frequent interaction with internal teams and occasional contact with clients and vendors. Physical demands include lifting up to 30 pounds, working extended hours, and operating in oilfield, hazardous, and remote environments. A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous professional development is essential for success in this dynamic role.
