Job Title: Fitter/TIG Welder

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced fitter/fabricator with expertise in MIG and TIG welding
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to interpret blueprints for fitting complex parts, particularly large structural components up to 30 feet in length
• This role requires comfort with moving around and working in tight spaces, as well as proficiency in welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel

Job Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from blueprints to fit and fabricate complex parts
• Perform MIG and TIG welding, including setting up the machine
• Fit structural weldments such as beams, tubes, and plates
• Work with overhead cranes, HI Lo's, grinders, hand grinders, and straightening press
• Engage in prototype work, particularly in aerospace or defense industries

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in fitting structural weldments
• 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding
• Ability to pass a MIG and TIG weld test for structural welders

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
