General Production Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and physically robust individual to fill the role of a General Production Worker. This position is demanding and involves moving steel round and square bars to pallets and workstations. The role requires the ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly throughout the day and may include assembling products and operating machinery.

Responsibilities

• Move and handle steel round and square bars to designated areas.
• Lift materials weighing over 50 lbs throughout the day.
• Assist in the assembly of products as required.
• Operate machinery as part of daily tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in paint manufacturing and preparation.
• General labor and production skills.
• Machine operation and operating skills.
• Experience in steel manufacturing and assembly.
• Proficient use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure is a plus.
• Experience with packaging, inspection, and construction.
• Familiarity with deburring, assembly line, and production processes.

Work Environment

The role operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4 pm, with mandatory overtime extending the workweek to 50 hours (Monday through Friday). You will work in a smaller, organized shop with a close-knit, family-like culture reminiscent of small-town vibes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winterset, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
