Job Title: Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery directly at customer job sites. If you’re passionate about solving mechanical challenges and enjoy working independently in the field, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with customers about service needs, timelines, and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Operate and maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in diesel or heavy equipment preferred.
• 1–8 years of hands-on experience (Technician Levels I–III).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting, time management, and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Experience with excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and field service operations.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role requiring travel to customer sites using a company-provided service vehicle. Technicians must be adaptable to various outdoor and indoor work conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $101920.00/yr.
