\n About the Role \n

As a Lead Teacher at Merryhill School, you're responsible for creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for children. You will provide a warm, caring, joyful environment that encourages preschoolers’ natural curiosity and instills confidence in their innate abilities.

    Plan, supervise, and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on early literacy, language development, math concepts, motor skills, and social-emotional growth

    Create a classroom culture that nurtures each child’s individuality while promoting curiosity, independence, and confidence

  • \n

    Provide a structured yet playful environment through hands-on learning and purposeful play

  • \n
  • \n

    Collaborate with fellow early childhood educators and school leadership to ensure alignment with program goals and best practices

  • \n

    Maintain regular, positive communication with parents and guardians through daily reports, classroom updates, and conferences

    Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, licensing regulations, and developmental standards

What We Are Looking For

  • \n

    Educational background with 12 semesters or 18 quarter early childhood education units shall include courses that cover the general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum, or a bachelor’s degree in child development

    \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.

    \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred

    \n
  • \n
