Job Summary:
- The LNG Project Manager will plan and manage all aspects of project engineering, development, and implementation, including technical studies, cost/budget estimates, scheduling and work plan development and project performance.
- Manage capital projects through a team of engineers, contractors and vendors for the entire organization, and with the goal of meeting cost, schedule, budget and quality.
- Manage all activities associated with the execution of the Project Plans, up to initial operation and handover to the Asset team, ensuring cross-disciplinary integration in the overall project development phases.
- Identify, source and implement a repository of (and make accessible to technical team leads) all the critical technical standards, including regulatory documents and software tools necessary to drive engineering and capital projects in a typical upstream oil & gas industry.
Key Accountabilities:
- To be in constant liaison with the internal and external stakeholders, including host communities where applicable, to ensure uninterrupted implementation of the project.
- Resourcing the Team with suitable personnel and ensuring their continued motivation.
- Coach and mentor direct and indirectly subordinates in the act of project management.
- Coordinate proper closeout of projects, delivery of closeout reports and associated documentation, including lessons learnt.
- Driving standardization and replication of equipment across the Company.
Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned. - Provide oversight support for assigned projects, including real-time presence and coordination during construction, renovation, repair, or equipment installation.
- Conduct in a timely manner, the annual assessment of all direct subordinates and provide input to the assessment of indirect subordinates.
- Liaise with the cost and planning team to ensure that the cost of the project and integrated schedule are adequately monitored and where necessary, recovery plans are in place and applied to avoid overruns and keep projects cost within budget and schedule.
- Provide support to the Subsurface Development Manager in the course of planning for new development projects.
- Address project problems in a timely and honest manner.
- Define, communicate, and mitigate project risks.
- Maintaining the processes and procedures related to the management of required compliance Documentation.
- Providing Operations support, scoping / estimating, and process troubleshooting to develop and manage projects.
- Work closely with operations control, safety, environmental, land, procurement, accounting, construction inspection and scheduling.
- Provide project management and technical support for the operation and construction.
- Staying current with the regulations.
- Oversee project schedules, logistics, estimating, and budget.
- Perform all other duties that are necessary and reasonably attached to this LNG Project Manager position and the fulfilment of its responsibilities.
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager, Projects & Engineering.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering/technical discipline.
20+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams of professional Engineers in corporate and field environments; at least 10 of these years should be in the upstream oil & gas industry. - Experience in capital investment planning, project management, and managing stakeholders challenges.
- A background in engineering design, contracting & procurement and risk management will be an advantage.

- Proven track record of successfully managing people and teams, business planning and business plan writing along with a relevant sector qualification.

- Experience in designing and delivering coaching/mentoring, learning and development and talent management programmes.
- Interpersonal relationships, discretion and confidentiality.
