Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C) - Primary Care at Providence Health and Services summary:

Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) in a primary care clinic provides clinical patient care under practitioner delegation, performing vitals, injections, medication administration, and other MA II duties according to policies and regulations. Requires completion of accredited MA training or equivalent experience, Washington MA certification upon hire, BLS certification, and minimum healthcare/MA experience. Full-time, on-site role within Providence/Swedish Medical Group offering benefits and pay range $26.46–$40.48/hour.

Description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or
  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
  • Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or
  • Coursework/Training: Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 6 months of Healthcare experience
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
