This position provides a full range of administrative medical support services while ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Position Details:

  • Location : 5 Neponset Street. 3rd floor. Worcester, MA, USA 01606
  • Department : Adult Medicine and Family Practice
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM you will work with manager on scheduled

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a patient advocate and liaison in coordinating healthcare services by partnering with a care team (Nurses, Providers, and Medical Assistants) and follow up care
  • Verifies patient insurance coverage and eligibility utilizing computer-based patient registration / scheduling system
  • Future training of addresses patient-care related telephone calls via an incoming work queue aligning with department metrics
  • Documents appropriate information in patient's charts using an electronic medical records system
  • Completes and maintains physician's schedules, coordinating patient visits and medical procedures
  • Ensures insurance authorizations are obtained, and services are covered in full, communicating information with patients as needed
  • Resolves patients' questions regarding clinic schedules and billing concerns; handles requests for rescheduling appointments, etc.
  • Other clerk duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of experience with professional telephone skills
  • Ability to work fulltime hours (38.75 hours per week) Monday - Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing EPIC
  • Ability to multitask

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
