Position Overview:

The Mortgage Loan Processor / Loan Officer Assistant will work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to collect documentation, verify information, and manage loan files through the approval process. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of mortgage lending guidelines and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Loan Officers in managing the loan pipeline from application through closing.
• Collect, verify, and review borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, employment, etc.) for completeness and accuracy.
• Input and update loan data in LOS (Loan Origination System).
• Order and track third-party services such as appraisals, title work, VOEs, VODs, and credit supplements.
• Maintain consistent communication with borrowers, Loan Officers, underwriters, and closing agents to ensure all conditions are met on time.
• Prepare and submit complete loan files for underwriting approval.
• Identify and resolve documentation or compliance issues promptly.
• Assist with preparing disclosures and coordinating closings.
• Provide administrative and operational support to ensure efficient loan processing.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in mortgage processing, loan officer assistance, or a similar role (preferred).
• Knowledge: Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
• Systems: Experience with LOS software and CRM tools.
• Skills:
