The Anderson Piano Academy is an innovative school that brings together traditional and modern methodologies to meet the needs of our students. We believe music education should be creative, fun, and engaging. We are looking to bring on teachers who are excited to share their passion for music with young learners. This academy functions as a team where teachers support each other to work through teaching challenges, successes and aspirations. Responsibilities: - Provide piano lessons to students ages 5 and up - Be responsive and flexible to student needs - Be respectful to all parties and create a healthy learning environment - Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Experience: - Music degree - Experience working with children (teaching piano, camps, tutoring etc) - Early advanced minimum piano proficiency - Patience and ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of each student Vision: - Students build an excellent foundation of technique, music literacy, practice skills and interpretation - Students will all be taught a common core of music vocabulary, but teachers will be given latitude of how to work with each student independently - This school aims to create a collaborative teaching experience.
