This opportunity requires more than safely steering and operating our vessels. We're looking for strong, experienced leaders who drive a high-performance culture.

Job Description

  1. Assure safe crew, vessel, and tow operations through the use of Ingram's safety systems and policies.
  2. Supervise the Mate and Deckhands in consultation with the Captain and shore-based leadership.
  3. Ensure safe and efficient vessel navigation by complying with the rules of the road, practicing good seamanship, and demonstrating excellent boat handling skills.
  4. Comply with and ensure crew adherence to USCG and environmental laws and regulations.
  5. Exhibit leadership qualities and promote harmony among the crew.
  6. Delegate vessel responsibilities, duties, and tasks considering crew members' experience and abilities.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  2. Valid driver's license.
  3. USCG Mate/Pilot license or higher.
  4. Valid FCC Radio License.
  5. Radar endorsement or Radar Certification.
  6. CPR & First Aid Certified.
  7. Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  8. Proficient computer skills including E-mail, internet browsers, and navigational systems.
