Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Sales:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve PV module sales targets and expand the customer base in the assigned region.
  • Execute direct sales strategies with new and existing accounts to meet and exceed business targets.
  • Engage effectively and professionally with customers, supporting broader sales team efforts.
  • Identify and develop leads and opportunities for Mission Solar solutions and services.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle for PV products, ensuring successful integration into small utility, commercial & industrial, and residential sectors through tailored technical and financial support.
  • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) effectively in sales management and forecasting.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition through proposals, presentations, and client communications.
Sales Administration:
  • Monitor and report category-specific market trends and conditions influencing sales strategies and tactical decisions.
  • Conducted and compiled market intelligence reports within the assigned territory.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions in alignment with corporate policies and strategic targets.
Marketing:
  • Develop competitive strategies and detailed account development plans to achieve sales objectives.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitor activities and market dynamics.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships, leveraging internal resources to support sales efforts and collaborating with other sales teams as necessary for broader initiatives.
Technical Sales:
  • Comprehend and articulate technical specifications and requirements for project materials and equipment.
  • Provide technical sales support and guidance for customers' system engineering needs.
  • Actively participate in trade shows, industry conferences, and other events to represent Mission Solar, network with clients, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Undertake additional initiatives and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the photovoltaic industry.
  • Reside within Texas, preferably within one hour of a major airport.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% annually within the region.
  • Preferred engineering or technical sales background.
  • Demonstrated capability to rapidly acquire detailed solar industry knowledge and become a subject matter expert.
  • Proven ability to identify, pursue, and onboard new prospects.
  • Strong experience in value selling methodologies and strategic account penetration.
  • Adept at identifying and engaging decision-makers in complex sales scenarios.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable transportation, either a personal vehicle or a rental (travel expenses reimbursed).
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and Salesforce.com.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of independently managing responsibilities.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, competitive mindset, and goal-driven orientation.
