Job Description

The Durable Slate Company is hiring for a Roofing Production Manager to help with various tasks in our Roofing Production Department. This position will involve but is not limited to data entry, assisting the Production Manager with job planning and preparation tasks, customer communications, internal communications, production scheduling coordination, as well as assisting with material inventory controls and inventory transactions. The role will at times require visiting jobsites as well as in?office work, and offers opportunity for growth and expansion.

Roofing Production Assistant Skills

• Familiarity with standard office platforms, such as Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience with Foundation Software preferred
• Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
• Manage office tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents
• Experience in planning and preparing roofing jobs
• Experience in the roofing trades, field experience a plus
• Comfortable on a roof, using ladders, lifts, scaffolding etc.
• Utilize computerized systems for various office tasks
• Able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, 20-40lbs often
• Assist in warehouse organization, material fabrication
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with others
• Interpersonal skills, professional and courteous demeanor, excellent office and phone etiquette, providing excellent customer service to guests and callers
• Must be able to drive company vehicles under our insurance company
• Must pass a pre?employment background check and drug test. We are a drug?free workplace; we participate in Ohio's Drug Free Safety Program.

Work Hours and Benefits

• In office, Monday?Friday 7am?5pm.
• $20?$30/hour depending on experience and skills.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience in the roofing industry preferred.
• 1+ years experience in an office setting and service scheduling coordination preferred.
