What you'll do As a Senior Physical Security Project Manager, you will manage security design and installation projects worldwide. You will oversee all aspects from initial engagement through project completion, including multiple projects and scopes of work. This role combines business acumen, communication, leadership, strategy development, tactical ability, and project management. Core competencies Growth Minded Data-Driven Collaborative Evaluative Strategic Thinker Position responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Project Management Develop scope of work and proposal documents with clients and internal resources Identify project schedule, scope, and oversee design and implementation per requirements Manage initiation activities and develop project scope, schedule, deliverables, and requirements Manage scheduling, status, and tracking of tasks, issues, and deliverables Prepare and manage RFP documents for security systems installation Evaluate RFP responses and prepare evaluation reports Design Perform site evaluations and review proposed design concepts Apply client standards, define use cases, and produce a security functional specification Review documentation for compliance with requirements and standards Redline and log issues as required Consulting Coordinate on-site and remote facility assessments Quality assure deliverables and adherence to scope Present findings to stakeholders Client relationship Keep clients informed of status, budget, schedule, and issues Forecast resource needs with clients Serve as primary security contact for project teams Attend regular design, PM, and construction meetings Manage site activation activities to drive schedule, quality, and cost Coordinate with design resources to develop complete SOWs Documentation Produce status reports and review high-priority issues with stakeholders Log exceptions to requirements for reporting and updates Quality Control Conduct on-site inspections and final acceptance testing Manage lessons learned and contractor performance Review design documentation for compliance Oversee shop drawings and close-out documentation What you’ll need Experience: 5+ years of physical security consulting project management with external clients and aggressive design/delivery schedules Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of low-voltage and physical security technology, systems, and design concepts Skills: Genetec knowledge required; basic installation/configuration a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office Studio and Bluebeam a plus Project management tools: MS Project, SharePoint, QuickBase Abilities: Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to identify critical path activities, prioritize tasks, and deliver progress What we offer Competitive salary based on experience Remote-first with a distributed team; role open to U.S.-based candidates Benefits: health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), flexible schedule Diverse and supportive culture What’s important to know Open to hiring candidates to work out of Chicago, IL Hybrid position with a minimum of 3 days/week on-site Travel up to 20% internationally Not eligible for visa sponsorship Must meet client/government security screening and U.S. citizenship verification Background check required at hire and every two years We look forward to connecting with individuals who can bring diverse contributions to our team.
