BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior React Native Developer to join our innovative and fast-paced development team based in Ashburn, VA . In this critical role, youll lead the design and development of cutting?edge mobile applications that support impactful, mission?driven solutions. What you will do

As a Senior Mobile Developer, youll play a key role in designing and delivering next?generation mobile experiences. Your work will directly impact mission?critical applications and help set new standards for performance, usability, and innovation.

• Design and build scalable, high?performance React Native components that elevate the mobile user experience
• Engineer intuitive, responsive interfaces that meet modern UX expectations and industry best practices
• Collaborate using modern tools like VS Code, GitLab, and the Atlassian Suite for development, documentation, and issue tracking
• Present and defend your solutions in both formal and informal design reviews alongside the Technical Lead
• Document your designs in alignment with the Governments system lifecycle methodology
• Bridge the gap between React Native and native mobile code by interfacing with iOS and Android platforms
• Write and maintain tests, including unit tests and end?to?end tests, using the teams preferred frameworks
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily scrums and code reviews, to ensure continuous delivery and improvement
• Mentor and support teammates, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence
• Stay current with the latest React Native trends and updates, bringing fresh ideas and improvements to the team

What Youll Bring:

• Education & Experience:
  
  • Bachelors degree with 1012 years of relevant experience
  • OR Masters degree with 810 years of experience
  • OR PhD with 57 years of experience
  • No degree? We value experience, 6 additional years of relevant work can substitute for a degree.
  
  
  
• Security Clearance:
  • Must be eligible to obtain a federal government security clearance
  
  
  
• Your Technical Superpowers:
  • Mobile Development Expertise in:
    
    • React Native
    • Native iOS and Android
    • Detox (for testing)
    
    
    
  • Programming Languages:
    • Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript
    
    
    
  • DevOps & CI/CD:
    • Skilled in building and debugging CI/CD pipelines for mobile platforms
    
    
    
  • State Management:
    • Strong experience with Redux, Flux, or similar libraries
    
    
    
  • Backend Integration:
    • Solid understanding of REST APIs and Microservices Architecture
    
    
    
  • Testing:
    • Experience writing unit tests and end?to?end tests
    
    
    
    
    
  
  
  
  
  

What we'd like you to have

Bonus Points For:

• Experience using RTK Query
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of other mobile development frameworks or platforms
• Experience working in Agile teams, especially Scrum
