Position Summary

Join our team as a Terrain Park Attendant and help shape the ultimate park experience! You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing all terrain park features, while promoting safety, teaching guests proper park etiquette, and delivering top-notch guest service.

This is an active, on-snow role that demands attention to detail, a passion for outdoor work, and a commitment to creating a safe and fun environment. If you’re ready to work hard, stay stoked, and spend your days outside even in challenging winter conditions, this is the role for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Open and close terrain parks daily, following established procedures.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair park features, signage, fencing, and trail markings.
  • Conduct daily safety checks and address hazards immediately.
  • Enforce the SMART STYLE safety code and all terrain park rules.
  • Maintain accurate logs of inspections, maintenance, and safety observations.
  • Set up and remove flags, banners, and trail markings as directed.
  • Install and maintain closures, fencing, signage, and event materials using appropriate tools.
  • Ensure terrain park areas remain clean, safe, and organized throughout the day.

Guest Services

  • Maintain a visible on-snow presence as a park ambassador.
  • Engage with guests to promote safe use of features and encourage positive experiences.
  • Gather guest feedback on park features and overall experience.
  • Model professionalism, respect, and exceptional service with guests and coworkers.

Team & Event Support

  • Assist with designing, building, and maintaining terrain park features and trails.
  • Support special events, competitions, and photo shoots in the park and across the mountain.
  • Collaborate with grooming and mountain operations teams to ensure safe and functional conditions.
  • Promote teamwork, innovation, and fun by contributing ideas and stepping in to help where needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must pass a ski/snowboard test demonstrating expert-level ability.
  • Ability and willingness to work up to 40 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Prior experience in a terrain park or mountain operations environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, lift 50+ lbs., and work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be comfortable testing features such as rails, boxes, and tabletops.
  • Ability to ski/snowboard while carrying hand tools (rakes, shovels, drills, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with guests professionally.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good judgment and ability to react quickly under pressure.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain organized records and logs.
  • Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue, and effectively jump, sprint, or throw an object. Excellent stamina is required. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to snow/ice.
