Textile Art Assistant – High‑End Carpet & Rug Design Studio (Full-Time, In-Person) Full‑time, in‑person role located in our NYC showroom. Join our team at a leading trade‑only carpet showroom specializing in bespoke, handcrafted rugs for luxury residential and hospitality interiors. We are seeking a Textile Art Assistant to support our design team in developing custom carpets and rugs for our prestigious global clientele. The Art Assistant plays a key role in bringing client concepts to life—creating, refining, and preparing artwork for production while ensuring the highest design standards. Responsibilities Create original designs inspired by market trends and client direction Manipulate and refine existing archival artwork to meet client specifications Apply client feedback to artwork revisions Prepare detailed technical drawings and weaving specifications for production mills Develop scaled production diagrams and rug layouts from floorplans Maintain and organize the digital design archive and sample library Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design or a related field Minimum 2 years of experience in rug, carpet, or textile design Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Strong color sense and the ability to accurately discern subtle color variations Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines Strong mathematical and spatial understanding for working with floorplans and measurement systems Collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment Position Details Full-time, in-person role Based in our NYC showroom Competitive salary commensurate with experience Website: Contact: Debra Sacco #J-18808-Ljbffr Business of Home
