\n Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
\n Position Type: Temp to Hire
\n Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Billing Clerk to join our Billing Department in Avon, CT. This position plays a key role in supporting the billing operations of the organization by accurately posting payments, maintaining account statements, releasing invoices, and reconciling account discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
\n\nThis role also involves interacting with a member base consisting largely of retirees, requiring excellent communication skills, patience, and professionalism.
\n\n \n Key Responsibilities: \n\nPost payments accurately and promptly into the billing system.
\n\t\n\tUpdate and maintain account statements and billing records.
\n\t\n\tRelease invoices and reconcile any discrepancies.
\n\t\n\tResolve account issues with professionalism and accuracy.
\n\t\n\tCommunicate clearly and empathetically with members by phone and email.
\n\t\n\tNavigate internal databases and web-based tools efficiently.
\n\t\n\tMaintain accurate documentation of billing activity.
\n\t\n\tCollaborate with internal departments to verify and update billing information.
\n\t\nPrevious experience in billing, accounting, or a related administrative support role preferred.
\n\t\n\tProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
\n\t\n\tStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
\n\t\n\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n\t\n\tAbility to multi-task and manage time effectively.
\n\t\n\tComfortable working with a retiree population and demonstrating patience and professionalism.
\n\t\n\tAble to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
\n\t\nLunch Policy: Lunch is unpaid. Employees may take a 30- or 60-minute break, resulting in 7 to 7.5 hours of work per day (35–37.5 hours/week).
\n\t\n\tPaid Lunch Benefit: Optional meal delivery through DineIn Connecticut. The company covers up to $20.00 per lunch. Employees may pay the difference if the order exceeds this amount.
